About the reptile project
Who We Are
The REptile Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit reptile rescue dedicated to the care and quality of reptiles. We specialize in snakes, particularly Ball Pythons, but we have experience and a desire to learn about all types of scaly creatures. In addition to our own collection of well-loved reptiles, we also take in owner surrenders and abandoned reptiles to nurse them back to health if needed and find them a new home. As part of our mission to improve relationships between people and reptiles, we offer reptile encounters, reptile sitting, and other opportunities to educate and that help fund our rescue.
Where We Started
The REptile Project is a childhood dream that became a reality. The capitalized R&E in our logo represents Raven (me) & Ethan (my fiance). What started with my very first snake for my 17th birthday (thanks Grandma) turned into an obsession for the care and livelihood of all scaly creatures. I now own over 15 reptiles and I regularly take in, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless and owner-surrendered reptiles. To date I have taken in ball pythons, bearded dragons, crested geckos, turtles, leopard geckos, a Savannah monitor, an Ackie monitor, and blue-tongued skinks.
